Rowan Atkinson popularly know for his stage name Mr Beam and his ex wife Sunetra are set to be granted a speedy divorce after 24 years of marriage. The couple, who share two grown up children, split up in 2014 leaving 60-year-old Rowan free to start dating 32-year-old comedianne Louise Ford.
A source told The Sun: "Sunetra was deeply upset to be replaced by such a younger woman."
Rowan and Sunetra first met in the 80s and they later tied the knot in 1990.
The
couple were building an £11 million home in Oxfordshire when they split
and Sunetra has since moved to a £21 million London mansion while Rowan
has a £4 million base in the city.
We have contacted Rowan's reps for a comment.
Meanwhile there was good news for Rowan when he sold his car for £8 million earlier this year.
The
actor agreed one of the biggest-ever vehicle deals in the UK by parting
with his 240mph McLaren F1 sports car - which was rebuilt in 2011 after
a crash - for the huge sum.
Rowan originally bought the car for £640,000 in 1997 and made a staggering £7.3 million profit on its sale .
Specialist car dealer David Clark, who originally sold Rowan rare vehicle, said: "Everyone is very pleased with the sale.
