Singer Trey Songz arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer
after authorities said he threw microphones and speakers from the stage
during a performance at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena
It all happened last night in Detroit, where Trey performed at Joe Louis Arena as a part of the “Big Show at the Joe.”
According to police, Trey, whose legal name is Tremaine Neverson,
became belligerent when he was told his performance time was up – and
that he had to end the concert
Police say that Trey was angry and started throwing microphones – and
anything else he could get his hands on. And when Detroit police
officers entered the stage in an attempt to calm the situation, he
attacked them too
A Detroit Police sergeant was hit by an object thrown by the artist and was “knocked out” and suffered a concussion
Trey has been arrested for malicious destruction of property and
resisting and obstructing arrest. He faces more serious charges, like
assault on a police officer also.
