Dwayne Johnson popularly known as 'The Rock' heard a dog named after him needed surgery, he jumped in to help. The
former WWE star donated $1,500 towards vital heart operation for the
dog he had never met before, just because he had 'a cool name.'
'Stay strong lil' Rock!' he wrote on the page after donating. 'Got your back.'
According to KTLA, the four-month-old cockapoo had been dumped at an LA shelter with a metal wire wrapped around his mouth.
After
using bolt cutters to remove it and sewing him up with 17-stitches,
vets discovered the animal's problems didn't end there. He had a grade 5
heart murmer - six being the worst possible - and was at severe risk of
a fatal heart attack.
That's when Save SPOT set up a GoFundMe for the pup, seeking $5,000, and naming him after the Furious 7 actor.
