According to photos released by Femi Adesina, the presidential
special advser on media & publicity, President Muhammadu Buhari, was
today, 29th November 2016, decorated as the Grand Patron of the
Nigerian Academy of Engineers at the State House in Abuja.
Among the dignitaries at the investiture ceremony were the
President of Nigerian Academy of Engineers, Engr (Mrs) Joanna Maduka
MFR, Technical Secretary of Nigerian Academy of Engineers, Engr. I.K.
Inuwa, Vice President of the academy, Engr. Prof. Fola Lasisi and Past
President Engr. Dr. E.J. Amana.
Speaking after the investiture ceremony President Buhari said; "I
have a lot of respect for Nigerian Engineers, having worked with them
over the years, from my time as Petroleum Commissioner, to the PTF.
"Every time and anywhere I've served in Nigeria, we found it
efficient and cost-effective to use Nigerian engineers. They're very
competent."
