The young couple from the Chinese capital of Beijing had passed a local fruit stand on their way home and things went pear-shaped after he said no when she asked him to buy her some.
It is unclear which fruit the woman had requested but her boyfriend said he did not want to spend money on it because it was too expensive.
Things quickly turned violent after she asked him one final time: "So you’re not buying it?", and the boyfriend responded: "No."
Mobile phone footage taken by a witness shows the girlfriend stamping her authority on their relationship by landing the hard kick between her boyfriend’s legs.
It caused the poor man to fall to the ground clutching his private parts.
