A man who is yet to be identified has been arrested by the Police
at the Greater Accra campaign launch of the opposition New Patriotic
Party (NPP) after being caught with a human head.
According to Ghana Web, the man is said to have carried to the campaign grounds, a severed head of a lady.
He was nearly lynched by angry party supporters who saw him
carrying the severed head in a polythene bag at the campaign grounds.
It took the intervention of the men and women in black uniform to rescue him.
Kwabena Kwakye, of Ghanaian radio station, Oman FM, who reported
the incident live from the rally ground on Sunday, said the man was
whisked to the Community 1 Police Station where he is currently
assisting with investigations.
Party supporters, according to Kwakye, suspected the man was at the
rally grounds to dump the severed head for people to suspect that the
NPP carried a dead body to their campaign launch.
