Signing Sony Music recording deal maybe Davido biggest music, as the label allegedly holding on to his music with a released date yet. Davido still hasn’t released one single song in the entire 2016 which is
proving his music deal with Sony is a wrong move – at least for now.
The singer had gave African music hope when he penned a deal – which he said was worth $1million after months of music barrenness. Now fast forward September the singer can’t catch a breathe.
Davido claims it isn’t his fault that he won’t be releasing an EP (Son of Mercy) he promised fans this month in a Snapchat rant earlier. The singer has had to depend on collaborations to stay relevant in the music game. He will also need his artistes Dremo and Mayorkun to continue to do well for him to remain on everyone’s lips as the music game is pretty forgetful.
After winning African Artiste of The Year in 2014 and 2015 at the MAMAs, it is fair to say Davido won’t walk away with anything at the forthcoming awards.
