Rapper Future grace the cover Rolling Stone Magazine, discuss lookalike US rapper Desiigner, and Legal problem with ex girlfriend Singer Ciara. In a Rolling Stone interview released on Wednesday, the rapper
opened up about his relationship with ex-fiancée Ciara, and their
explosive custody battle over two-year-old son Future Zahir.
Rapper Future cover Rolling Stone Magazine, talks meeting Ciara for the first time
“I
can’t deal with it,” Future told the magazine about the custody battle
that has resulted from his breakup with the singer. “I can’t even think
about it. I never imagined my life would be like that: ‘I’m going to sue
you and take away from you.’”
“I
don’t know how to deal with something like that,” the 32-year-old
rapper confessed, adding that making music in the studio has become a
source of escape. “All I know is record, record, record, record.”
Of course, his relationship with Ciara has been tense for some time – three months after welcoming their son
in 2014, Future was accused of cheating on the “Body Party” singer. The
resulting breakup quickly turned volatile – with Future speaking out
about his ex on several occasions.
Just last July, the rapper addressed pictures of Ciara’s then-boyfriend (now fiancĂ©), Russell Wilson, pushing Future Jr. in a stroller.
“You
never do that in our community. You don’t even bring a man around your
son. You only know this dude for a few months and you’re bringing him
around your kid? Who does that?” he said during a radio interview with
the Breakfast Club. “I’m not for the publicity stunts. Leave my son out of the publicity stunts.”
when asked about Desiigner, he tried to avoid the subject, telling the journalist, "I never worried about anyone else ... I don't
even want his name in the article." They also touch on Future's failed
relationship with Ciara which followed the release of Future's debut album Honest in short succession (both considered underwhelming Future moments).
"I
was scared as shit," the rapper says, "I was one step away from being
married, and I feel like I failed publicly in relationships. Then you
want to go back to doing music, to what you know. And if the people
didn't accept you again, the one thing you feel like you can fall back
on, it walked away from you. You feel like it's over." He added, "I
remember Esco going, 'You need to spend time in the studio and get back
to creating. Block all that shit out. You going through a lot right now.
Turn that shit into music, or it's gonna get the best of you.' Because
everything's popping up in the media. Every day, it's something. It was
getting bigger than my music."
Despite everything that's happened
with Ciara (and her new boo Russell Wilson), Future says he just wants
her to be happy. "Her being successful, her being happy, helps me," he
says.
