Lil Wayne has been accused of assaulting a doorman at a West Hollywood club after the BET Awards on Sunday. The
33-year-old hip-hop artist and 2 Chainz, 38, were co-hosting a BET
Awards after-party at Hyde Sunset Kitchen & Cocktails on the famous
strip.
A
bouncer claims he was punched in the face by Lil Wayne, who is also
known as Weezy, at the venue and has filed a battery report with the
LAPD, according to aTMZ report on Monday.
The
Sucker For Pain artist reportedly got angry after certain members of
his entourage got turned away from the late night bash.
According to the report, 'Wayne and the bouncer started arguing about who was getting in.'
The Hyde employee was taken to the hospital and reportedly sustained minor injuries.
TMZ also reported that Lil Wayne denied punching the bouncer.
A source said, 'The guy actually worked in Wayne's VIP section all night.'
The
Weezy insider continued, 'There was a brief altercation, but only
because the bouncer mistakenly grabbed Wayne by the arm ... not
realizing who he was.'
