Security guards arrested for stealing N1.5 million recharge cards

Two private security guards have been arrested by the police for stealing 2,500 pieces of Startimes recharge cards worth N1.5m at a warehouse in Abuja. The suspects, Ibrahim Nuhu, 37 and Emeka Moses,27, were apprehended by policemen from the Garki Police Division. 


The suspects stole the items from the Startimes warehouse where they were posted to for guard duty on Monday

The police said,

 “Acting on a report and following a discreet investigation, police operatives attached to the Garki division have recovered 2,500 pieces of Startimes N600 recharge cards valued at N1.5m, stolen by Nuhu and Moses, who were private security guards.
“They stole the items from the organisation’s warehouse where they were posted to. They were arrested after their attempt to sell the recharge cards failed and the police division was immediately alerted.”
