$13.9bn transfer: Nigeria Senate hires forensic experts to probe MTN

The Senate on Wednesday said it had engaged the services of foreign forensic experts and lawyers to probe the $13.9bn allegedly transferred from Nigeria by MTN Nigeria illegally.

MTN Drops Don Jazzy, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Reveals Praiz, Chidinma, Iyanya, Tekno, Falz as New Ambassadors

Telecoms giant, MTN has just terminated its contract with Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage and Davido among others. Following the development, the management has also released the names of it's 2016/2017 celebrity ambassadors to include Praiz, Chidinma, Iyanya, Tekno, Falz and more

MTN Allegedly Suspends endorsements deals with Nigerian Celebrities

According to new reports, MTN Nigeria has suspended the ambassadorship of many of their ambassadors. Minus their regional ambassadors, Project Fame ambassadors including Iyanya, Praiz and Chidinma, and other ambassadors like Falz, Skales, Tekno and Nkem Owoh, everyone else has been suspended.

MTN proposes N300b settlement deal with FG out of N1.04tn

The Senate Chairman of the committee, Senator Gilbert Nnaji, noted that members of his committee are worried that a proposal initiated by the MTN for the reduction of the fine to N300 billion had been accepted by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, without recourse to the Ministry of Justice and the NCC.

MTN Hires Ex US Attorney-General to Sort $3.9bn Fine

Telecommunications giant, MTN, has BOOST its efforts toward the $3.9 billion fine by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for failing to disconnect unregistered sim cards. MTN disclose they've  hiring a former US Attorney-General Eric Holder to negotiate the fine imposed last year.

President Muhammadu Buhari to decide MTN’s fate over N1.04tn fine- says minister

The Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, said on Tuesday that President Muhammadu Buhari would have to decide MTN Nigeria’s fate regarding the N1.04tn fine imposed on it by the Nigerian Communications Commission. He stated this on the sidelines of the Alliance 4 Affordable Internet Nigeria Coalition Conference in Lagos, according to an online publication, Technology Times.
