Amber Rose is big on reclaiming words like "slut" and "hoe," so much so that she hosts a SlutWalk event every year to raise awareness of sexual assault and help empower others.
That decision has gotten her a ton of hate during her career, though. Bossip
reports that during a trip to Clark Atlanta University to speak at the
Know Your Status panel earlier this week, Rose explained her choice to
reclaim the insults, despite the controversy it sometimes causes.

"For me, I became famous, I didn't ask for this sh*t. I dated a
famous guy and I was like, 'Oh d*mn, I'm famous I gotta figure this
out,'" Rose explained. "What happened to me was like, 'D*mn yo, she was
the same restaurant as that dude, she's f*cking him.' I felt myself
constantly tweeting and trying to explain myself and I was like, 'You
know what? It's never gonna go away.'"
"I've constantly dealt with that because I'm beautiful," Rose
continued. "I was blessed with beauty — it's a gift and a curse. If I
hang out with guys they always thought that I was having sex with them.
So now I take the bullying, the derogatory labeling and I refer to
myself as a slut. When you look at my Instagram and see that I call
Coachella 'Hoechella,' I'm embracing that sh*t because they're gonna
think that I f*cked everybody anyway."
Amber is definitely practicing what she preaches; just take a look at her most recent Instagram upload.
