A boy trying to show his beau he is the man for her accidentally fell 23 floors from a high rise balcony but survived after landing on the roof of a
parked Renault taxi.
Lovestruck Alexander Shadrin, 16, fell 230ft but amazingly was CONSCIOUS when paramedics arrived at the scene. The Russian teenager had climbed over the railing of the balcony at his home in Novosibirsk, Siberia prove his bravado to a female friend, said eyewitnesses.
But he could not hold on and went crashing to certain death - but for the Renault Logan parked below.
Shadrin suffered 'serious injuries' but is stable in intensive care, said reports.
Pictures from the scene show the roof of the car buckled and the rear window smashed.
But the Renault saved the boy by "cushioning his fall", according to reports.
The teenager "climbed over the balcony rails, clung on for sometime, but then couldn't hang on any longer, and fell onto a car parked below," said the Novosibirsk branch of the Investigative Committee, Russian equivalent of the FBI.
The driver was not inside his vehicle at the time, reported The Siberian Times.
Investigators have taken statements from witnesses including relatives of the boy.
The identities the girl he was seeking to impress and his relatives have not been made public.
