Couple married for over 52 years, have been dressing in matching outfits for years - and every one is posted online

Fran and Ed Garguila's every day clothing includes all the colours of the rainbow - but each always complements the other.

Their images have been shared online by their teen grandson Anthony Garguila, and the internet is full of people who think they're as adorable as he does.

"I never expected a tweet of my grandparents to go viral," he said, after more than 34,369 people retweeted his Ausgust 30 post. 

The couple - Ed, who is 76, and 74-year-old Fran - have been dressing alike since they started square dancing several years ago, reports CNN .

They even came to a performance by singer Anthony last year in matching orange - and became the stars of the show when they invited their square dancing crew along in the same hue.

Anthony says he gets a text every morning of their outfits for the day and a caring message reading: "Good morning! We hope you have a good day!"

"It's the cutest thing ever," he adds.

"They personify being grandparents and being a couple," says Rich Garguila, the couple's son.

Anthony says that he texted to tell them they had gone viral and, when the morning's 'outfit of the day' text arrived, it was signed: "From your famous grandparents."
