An angry wife slashed her husband's penis with a box cutter and almost severed it after discovering he has been cheating on her with her best friend in the Thai tourist spot of Pattaya. After the attack, the man, only known as Somchai, was found my paramedics in the middle of the street screaming in pain with an ice pack held against his genitals.

He was then rushed to the Bang Lamung Hospital in Pattaya for emergency surgery after his penis was found to be almost severed.

The man is now recovering but is being closely monitored after losing a lot of blood.

However, it is too early to tell if he will make a complete recovery.

According to Pattaya One, the man's wife had carried out the attack after finding he had been unfaithful before discovering he had cheated with a friend of hers.

She tricked him into removing his trousers by pretending that she wanted to perform a sex act on him.

But before she began, she produced a box cutter and started slashing at his genitals.

Somchai then started pouring with blood and began screaming prompting his wife to call an ambulance.

The woman went to the hospital with him and the man is also said to be suffering from severe psychological trauma.

Thai police are waiting for the man to recover before questioning him about the attack.
