At least 36 people are feared to have been killed and dozens more injured in an apparent terror attack at Turkey's biggest airport. Three suicide bombers detonated their explosives at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul after police fired shots at them, it's reported. See video after the cut
At least 147 people are believed to have been injured while hero taxi drivers ferried wounded people from the terminal.
There have been heartbreaking scenes at the airport and local hospitals as relatives of those involved wait for news.
At least 36 people have been killed but officials believe this could rise to 50.
Many relatives rushed to the airport once news of the attack emerged with others seen outside Istanbul’s hospitals.
Officials have revealed that one Ukrainian and one Iranian citizen were among 36 people killed by the three suicide bombers.
Around 150 people were wounded in the attack and Saudi media reported that among those hurt were seven Saudis.
