Rita Ora has reportedly reached an out of court settlement with Jay Z's Record label 'Roc Nation'. The Body on me singer, who signed to the record label in 2008 but only released one
album, filed a lawsuit claiming the company’s change in direction led to
her being forgotten about.
Jay
Z's label then filed a countersuit alleging they “tirelessly promoted”
her career and she had failed to deliver the five albums promised.
However, a new document on the website of the Supreme Court in New York appears to show they have now reached a settlement.
And over the weekend the star hinted she might have already
put pen to paper on a new recording contract - reportedly with Warner
Music.
Rita shared a Snapchat of a two pieces of paper with two huge flower images covering their contents.
“Contract time!!” she captioned it.
Back
in February, following Roc Nation's countersuit, Rita's lawyer Howard
King, said: "Jay Z has personally and graciously promised Rita complete
freedom from Roc Nation, the details of which are now being finalised."
