In a new interview, set to air on ABC on Tuesday morning, Bobby Brown opens up about his late daughter Bobbi's death, who passed away six months ago after being in a coma on allege drugs overdose. Bobby said he and late Whitney Houston could have done more for their daughter.
The aspiring singer had a mix of alcohol and drugs in her system at the time of her death. He also admitted his daughter's death was horribly similar to that of his ex-wife's death in February 2012.
“We could have been better,” the New Edition singer tells ABC News’ Robin Roberts. “We should have been better."
"It’s not a mystery to me the same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney.
“There is only one person around both occasions.”
"The hardest thing I had to do in my life was tell my daughter to let go. My baby's gone,” he said.
Holding back the tears, the 47-year-old added: "I thank God I'm still here."
In his emotional interview, Bobby then goes on to talk about his marriage to the late I Will Always Love You singer.
After 15 years of marriage, he said: "I came into the marriage with money [and] left the marriage with nothing."
