Online dangerous group Anonymous has doubled down on its war against
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. In 2015, Anonymous
issued a stern warning to Trump after he announced that he’d ban Muslims
from entering the United States. “Donald Trump, think twice before you
speak anything. You have been warned,” the masked spokesperson said. Watch Video after the cut
The
group then took down Trump Tower’s website by overwhelming its servers.
Previously, Anonymous had launched cyber attacks on ISIS, the Westboro
Baptist Church, and the Ku Klux Klan.
Today, Anonymous declared “total war” on Trump, calling for
“hacktivists around the world” to “shut down his websites” and “research
and expose what he doesn’t want the public to know.” The group’s
goal is to “dismantle his campaign and sabotage his brand,” and it
promises to start by shutting down his Trump Chicago website on April
1, 2016—April Fool’s Day.
Here’s an excerpt from their call to arms.
“Dear Donald Trump, we have been watching you for a long time and what we see is deeply disturbing. Your inconsistent and hateful campaign has not only shocked the United States of America, you have shocked the entire planet with your appalling actions and ideas. You say what your current audience wants to hear, but in reality, you don’t stand for anything except for your personal greed and power.”
