The Grammy award-winning rapper owes his lawyer nearly $300,000 — and
is very behind in his payments, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in
Manhattan federal court.
Lil Wayne and lawyer Michael B. Kramer agreed in December 2015 that his
outstanding legal tab totaled $350,000, and that the “Lollipop” rapper
would start paying by putting $50,000 down that month, the filing
states.
The agreement also stipulated that the rapper — whose real name is
Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. — would pay $20,000 per month until the debt
was paid off, the suit says.
Kramer contends Lil Wayne paid him in December and January, but has since stiffed him on February’s payment.
Representatives for Lil Wayne could not be reached.
