Music legend Paul McCartney gets turned away from Tyga's Grammy after-party

The man with the power: The restrictive Grammys after-party was thrown by Tyga, and the star didn't seem all that bothered as he was later informed The Beatles star was denied entry to the bash (pictured on Sunday)Confused: Paul could be heard joking with Beck and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins 'How VIP do we gotta get?' as he was denied entry (pictured later that night with actor Woody Harrelson)

He is one of the most successful composers and performers of all time. However, that wasn't enough for Paul McCartney to gain access to Argyle nightclub in Hollywood on Monday evening after the Grammy Awards, where rapper Tyga was hosting a party.

Out of touch: Bouncers at Argyle nightclub in Hollywood didn't seem to know who they were talking to as they sent away rock legend Paul McCartney on Monday evening, rejecting him from a Grammys after-party; he was with his wife Nancy Shevell

As reported by TMZ, The Beatles star, 73, was turned away from Tyga's after-party twice before giving in and heading over to the Republic Records party at Hyde. He was joined by his wife Nancy Shevell as well as singer Beck.

Also with Paul was Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. McCartney could could be heard joking while sharing his surprise.
'How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit, guys. We need another hit,' the music icon said, jokingly adding: 'Work on it!'

With over 20 Grammys under his belt - as part of legendary rock band The Beatles and as a solo artist - the surprise didn't seem unwarranted.

All dressed up: Shevell was clad in a pretty rust-colored floral dress with matching bootsOn to the next one: After the shocking rejection at Argyle, Paul and his crew headed over to the Republic Records party at Hyde
When later asked about the shocking oversight, host Tyga did note that Paul was 'a legend,' but otherwise didn't seem that upset about him being barred from the party.
Bow Wow, however, seemed genuinely shocked by the slight, questioning: 'Wait. The Paul McCartney came to Argyle... and they wouldn't let him in? You've got to be lying.'
He did later reason that perhaps the bouncers didn't let him in as Bow Wow, 28, and Tyga, 26, are younger, a 'new generation,' and frequent that club.
Shocked: Bow Wow was dumbfounded as he was informed Paul was denied access to his party, insisting he would have let him in had he known

Suave: The star - joined by Grammy winner Beck (L) and Woody (R) looked sharp in a collared, white shirt, black zip-up jacket, and fitted, navy blue trousers
