Buzzfeed recently hosted White
House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett on their podcast “Another Round,”
and she revealed a recent guest the White House welcomed: Kendrick Lamar Obama has already publicized his appreciation for the Compton
emcee, specifically calling out “How Much a Dollar Cost” as his favorite song of
2015. However, the POTUS also invited the rapper for a visit to DC.
The
rapper and politician sat down together in the Oval Office to discuss
presumably gangsta shit, and apparently Kendrick was a bit nervous (and
really, who wouldn’t be?). What did the President say to relax him?
“Can you believe we’re both sitting in this Oval Office?” It’s great to know that our Commander-in-Chief still has appreciation for how far they’ve both come.
It’s
hard to imagine, but maybe hip hop is played more often than not in the
in White House, as Jarrett also said she is a fan of Jay Z. No word on whether Jigga has received an invite to Pennsylvania Avenue yet.
