This footage shows the moment two men start loading £40 of vegetables from an 'honesty' stall into their car. Farmer John Hillson says after putting this footage online he has received 300 emails naming the pair. The
61-year-old examined the footage from his camera tied to a telegraph
pole next to the cart after noticing the 'sold' veg didn't tally with
the takings in the honesty box.
He was staggered when the video showed two men pull over next to the wheeled stand and rush to load handful after handful of produce into the back of a silver Chrysler Voyager people carrier.
The pair, both dressed in dark clothing can be seen spending 30 seconds going to and from the stall with potatoes, carrots, onions, kale, leeks and butternut squashes before driving off without leaving a penny.
Mr Hillson uploaded the footage to his Facebook page and was overwhelmed when over 66,000 people viewed it.
