The Britain government has blocked plans by an Islamic group to build Britain's biggest mosque. The Tablighi Jamaat
sect had put forward plans to build a so-called "megamosque" in east
London that would have housed more than 11,000 people in a number of
prayer rooms and halls. If given the green light, the mosque,
which would have been close to the Olympic Park, would have had three
times the floor space of St Paul's Cathedral and 190-ft minarets.
