Court sends ex-Ministers Fani-Kayode and Nenadi Usman to prison

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered Nenadi Usman, and Femi Fani-Kayode, be remanded till Friday when their bail applications would be heard. The two ex-ministers as well as Danjuma Yusuf and a firm, Jointrust Dimensions Nigeria Limited, were on Tuesday arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a 17-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, corruption and making cash payments exceeding the amount authorized by law.

EFCC seizes Fani-Kayode’s passport

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has seized the passport of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, it as been reported. The former minister, who served as the Director of Publicity of the Goodluck Jonathan during the 2015 presidential election, was arrested on Monday last week for receiving N840m.

EFCC Operatives on Thursday stormed the Abuja home of a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, and arrested a domestic servant, It was learnt that the operatives stormed the house located at 5 Zuma Close, Aso Drive, Abuja in the afternoon and searched the compound.
