A luxury supercar has been left a crumpled wreck after a crash with a van and building scaffolding. The orange Lamborghini was involved in a collision on Charles Street, Manchester, in the early hours of Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said the high-powered motor struck a van and some scaffolding surrounding a building at around 3.30am.
Emergency crews were dispatched and police began directing traffic.
Paramedics also attended as a precaution, although police said no-one was injured, The Manchester Evening News reports.
A GMP spokesman confirmed they were called to reports of a collision between a Lamborghini and a Renault van, but no arrests were made.
Photographer Reece O’Bierne, 19, from Salford, was working at a nearby nightclub and captured the aftermath on his camera.
He said the Lamborghini hit a van, and added: “The car was a complete mess. The bonnet was virtually gone, the engine was smashed to pieces and there was oil all over the road. "
"There were quite a lot of people who had been in the nearby clubs and within 30 seconds a crowd of about 40-50 people had gathered and were all taking pictures."
“It didn't look like anyone was seriously hurt. The car will need some serious repairs, if it can be fixed at all. Someone’s going to have a massive insurance claim."
