A little girl has been hospitalised with a gaping hole in her hand after a spider fell from the bathroom ceiling and sunk its fangs into her hand.
Another two of the arachnids were found in Abbie Kinnaird's bed.
The
eight-year-old has been too scared to return to the family's rented
home in Colchester, Essex, after being bitten by one of a suspected
infestation of deadly brown recluse spiders and false widows.
A
spider thought to be a brown recluse fell from the bathroom ceiling and
sank its fangs into her hand last month and two more were found in her
bed.
The family claims that bug exterminator then found more of
the venomous brown recluse whose bites produce necrosis of the flesh,
alongside false widows.
Abbie's mum Hayley Kinnaird eventually had to rush her to hospital where she was kept for four days.
Mum-of-two Hayley, 35, said: "Abbie's been very brave through it all, but she's terrified of going into the flat.
