Simon Cowell's appearance on X Factor on Saturday night sent Twitter into meltdown when his toe was mistaken for an intimate body part.
But
on Monday morning's This Morning, his friend and Xtra Factor star Rylan
Clark-Neal revealed he had spoken to him in order to clear things up
once and for all.
He
said: 'Simon spoke to us and said, "this was just my toe. It was
unfortunate and embarrassing, but I just want to clear up toe gate.
Phillip Schofield cheekily added: 'Not really,' adding that he was planning on recreating the pose himself, after the show.
Rylan said he was first made aware of the apparent wardrobe faux pas, when his Xtra Factor co-star Matt Edmondson called him.
He said: 'Matt said to me, "Have you noticed anything peculiar about Simon on the show tonight".'
Viewers
of the talent show went wild on Saturday night when the head judge
appeared to show a little too much during the judges' houses stage of
the competition.
The
media mogul, 56, listened to contestants while sitting between Mel B
and Emma Bunton on his sofa with one leg folded up against the other.
