Fans of Tupac Shakur will be reaching deep into their pockets after some of his handwritten lyrics went up for sale. Gary
Zimet, who owns memorabilia company Moments in Time, is auctioning off
the original lyric sheet to Tupac's track Catchin' Feelings from his
2002 album Better Dayz.
And all you have to do is cough up $38,500 (that's almost £29,000).
Gary tells TMZ that he obtained the lyrics from an ex-employee of the studio where Tupac recorded the track in 1996.
And he's been holding onto them ever since.
As September 13 marks the 20th anniversary of the iconic
rapper's death, Gary is expecting collectors and fans to cough up the
cash.
No doubt he's hoping for a bidding war which could see him earn well over his asking price.
Tupac
was killed on September 7, 1996, after being shot multiple times in a
drive-by shooting at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in
Las Vegas, Nevada.
To this day, police still have no idea who killed the star.
