Nigerian actor, Kalu Ikeagwu is not very pleased with how Nigerian Media treated his alleged arrest over a stolen phone. The actor took on his Instagram to stressed his frustration on the issue. Watch video after the cut.
The actor who is fuming
over the bad publicity he got from the media and the unprofessional
manner in which the policemen involved in an alleged theft saga treated
him has now laid curses on the policemen and some bloggers.
It would be recalled that Encomium magazine had earlier reported that the actor had been involved in kidnapping before changing the story to armed robbery.
The actor had categorically stated that the media didn't deem it fit to
get his own side of the story before rushing to publish news of the
incident.
The Nigerian police has always come under severe criticism for its
blatant disregard for the law which they are supposed to follow and
maintain. The actor alleged that plain clothe policemen had accosted and
pointed a gun to his head before bundling him into an unmarked car and
without taking him to any police station.
The unlawful conduct of policemen in Nigeria has become a very
source of worry because one cannot know who is a policeman and who is a
kidnapper because they both operate in similar ways.
This is really a disturbing issue that must be stopped as policemen
in Nigeria should be mandated to identify themselves and make arrests
in uniforms to tell the people they are after that they are not
criminals. It is really a shameful thing that no police authority in
Lagos state has taken up this issue to uncover those who staged this
disgraceful assault on the actor.
The actor has now left everything to God as he said those who orchestrated the disgraceful act on his person will answer to God.
“Remember this name, the Lord will answer you all a hundred fold”. the visibly pained actor said.
