Rihanna is a rich lady and she's not holding back on spending it. The singer splashed out $1.8million on a new mansion in Barbados for her father, Ronald Fenty.
The
singer, 28, purchased a property in the exclusive Sandy Lane community -
home to celebrities including Beyoncé and Jay Z and The X Factor's
Simon Cowell - for her relative, 66, after telling him to take his pick
of homes on the Caribbean island.
This comes after the generous pop princess bought her mother, Monica Brathwaite, a five-bedroom mansion back in 2012.
Speaking to Now Magazine,
Ronald said: 'Robyn [Rihanna's real name] was so kind. She sent me a
few houses to choose from around the island. I chose this one, not
because it was the most expensive, but it's got the gardens.
Ronald
explained he made the decision to leave his former home because he
found himself becoming something of a tourist attraction.
He
added: 'It got out of hand - I'd be sat watching a good politics debate
and then a bus of tourists would arrive wanting to take a picture with
me. There was no privacy. Here, I've got trees and the road is much
quieter.
The
66-year-old is still recovering after he crashed his car into a tree
during bad weather 10 years ago - so the expansive new abode is perfect
for his needs.
