The US rapper Iggy Azalea appears to have wasted no time returning her ex-fiance the diamond engagement ring he gave her. After
pictures emerged of the 26-year-old singer moving out of her former
flame's home, it has now been reported that she will be taking the car
she gave him as a gift with her, whilst he will take back the engagement
ring.
Driving off: The Team hitmaker has
taken custody of the 1962 Impala - worth $100,000 - that she gave Nick
for Christmas which was seen being towed away from his home earlier this
week
Whilst the
couple appear to be communicating and acting fairly in dividing their
gifts, Nick is legally within his rights to take back the diamond.
Californian
law states that engagement rings are considered a 'contemplation of
marriage' and should therefore be returned if the wedding does not take
place.
Meanwhile,
Iggy was quick to hit back at claims she hit 'kicked' her ex-fiance out
of her house, taking to Twitter on Tuesday to post:
'I
never had anyone's car towed nor did I kick nick out of "my" house. The
home belongs to nick, Iam the one moving. Thanks. [sic]'
The
Fancy hitmaker also used social media to announce her split from the
star, sharing a screen grab of a typed note to her 8.8million Instagram
followers which read:
Clarifying: Iggy took to Twitter again
on Tuesday to clarify that she was 'the one moving' and that the house
'belongs to Nick' after there was speculation to the contrary
Split: The pair began dating in 2013 and announced their engagement in June 2015
