Tupac's custom Hummer he bought a month before his death sells for more than $300,000

Tupac Shakur's last-owned vehicle has been sold at auction for a six-figure sum and more triple the expected price. The hummer jeeb fetched an impressive $337,145 at the end of a fierce week-long online bidding war, according to RRAuction.com.

A 1996 Hummer H1 model, the car comes with a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V-8 and was purchased just a month before the singer's still-debated death.

The bidding, which completed on May 12, was expected to close at around $100,000.

Unsurprisingly, the buyer was a huge Tupac fan and collector from the Midwest, according to TMZ, and wished to remain anonymous. 

An extravagant purchase perhaps, but the car also comes with a license plate that reads 'YAKNPAK', a tribute to Tupac and the late rapper Yaki 'Prince' Kadafi, who died two months after Tupac.

The pair were said to have driven around in the custom Hummer together often, said Motor Trend. 

Two copies of the 20-year-old vehicle's registration, listed to Tupac, were also included in the sale.

Although it is 20 years since the legendary rapper died, his memorabilia still draws big money.
