Norwich winger Robbie Brady lost two teeth in a sickening clash of heads with teammate Gary O'Neil in the Canaries' Premier League defeat to Chelsea. The
Republic of Ireland international was going up for a header when he
clashed with his fellow Canary, leaving a gash in O'Neil's head.
Goals from Kenedy and Diego Costa compounded the pair's misery and left Norwich in the relegation zone with 10 games remaining this season. Alexander Tettey also suffered an injury on the night for Alex Neil's side, and the boss lamented his luck after the match.
"Gary has a nasty gash and needs a few stitches, Robbie's
lost two teeth and Alex is getting an x-ray on his leg," Neil said
afterwards.
It wasn't the only bizarre injury suffered in the
Premier League on Tuesday evening - as fourth official Kevin Friend was
hospitalised during Bournemouth's clash with Southampton.
Friend passed out shortly before half-time at the Vitality Stadium, banging his head on the dugout, leaving him bloodied.
