Manchester City and England attacker Raheem Sterling has been forced to slash the price of his garish Birkdale mansion in a bid to get rid having seen the property remain unsold for almost eight months. Photos after the cut.


England international Sterling is struggling to sell his former home and has had to cut the price tag by £300,000 in a bid to get rid
The former Liverpool man, who cost the Citizens £49million last summer, has knocked £300,000 off his former pad, which is decorated with animal print and even has a room dedicated to Michael Jackson.

Sterling upgraded to a £3.5million Cheshire home when sealing his move to Manchester but has been unable to sell his former abode – which is now priced up at £1.2m with Rightmove having been on sale since August 2015.

House comes with a bar dedicated to Michael Jackson and is equipped with a DJ deck and includes pieces of memorabilia of the popstar
Sterling's front room is decorated with black wallpaper and detailing with a leather corner sofa dominating the laminated room
Former Liverpool strikers Sterling obviously enjoyed the Zebra theme during his time in the house before making the move to Manchester

Sterling may be well know for his footballing exploits but he apparently liked nothing more than shooting some hoops when at home

One of the rooms of Sterling's former abode is very pink which may appeal to buyers with young children looking for a new home

Fitted wardrobes dominate one of the rooms in Sterling's £1.2million mansion which looks on the small side considering the price tag
Sterling was also able to keep on top of his fitness while at home by turning one of the rooms into a personal gymnasium
Guests can sit in comfort in the dining room when they have finished using the swimming pool, basketball courts and football pitches
Sterling turned one of the rooms of his Southport home into a personal gymnasium complete with a bench press, treadmill and punch bag
As well as an indoor heated swimming pool Sterling's mansion has a hot tub and load of entertaining space complete with seats around it
More Liverpool memorabilia can be found in Sterling's own personal barbers with two cushions laid out behind the chair in his old home 
Sterling's former kitchen comes complete with an island and is big enough for numerous guests to come round and enjoy a bite to eat
Former Liverpool attacker Sterling also had two fun-sized football goals positioned next to a large private hedge
The house also has a decked area suitable for large parties and a BBQ for those sunny afternoons in the area
The mansion comes complete with ample parking for those buyers out there with a fleet of cars to match the property
