Serena Williams flaunt her muscular thighs on red carpet at Sports Illustrated event

She is not shy to show off her muscle...Serena Williams flashed her muscular thighs in a sheer gown for her induction as Sports Illustrated's Sportsperson Of the Year in Manhattan Tuesday. The 34-year-old tennis pro's famous legs made sure to showcase her athletic 5ft9in figure as she strutted outside Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers. more photos after the cut.

Serena's lingerie-style frock featured a lace slip beneath a matching black chiffon maxi-skirt, which was open in the front.  

The Nike brand ambassador rocked a choppy brunette bob, red lips, fancy timepiece, and a glittery gold manicure.
The Michigan-born champion continued: 'My hope by winning this award [is that it] can inspire many more women - in less than 30 years, of course - to stand right here on this podium and accept another'

'When I first learned that I would be Sportsperson, yes Sportsperson of the Year, I could not believe it,' Williams told the crowd.

'It had been over 30 years since the last time SI had recognised a woman for being Sportsperson of the Year. I think it was [track star] Mary Decker, to be exact. So for all the ladies out there, "Yes we can do it!"
