The three-time
Grammy winner - who turns 49 next month - was promoting his 13th studio
album when he abruptly walked out of his 'negative' HuffPost Live interview after 20 minutes on Monday. Caroline
Modarressy-Tehrani asked if the disappointing sales were a reflection
of how conflicted the R&B crooner's fans were about his sexual abuse
allegations.
Back
in 2008, Kelly - born Robert - was found not guilty of 14 counts of
child pornography after a 2002 sex tape was leaked of him with an
underage girl.
And
back in 1998, the Chicago-born belter settled a $10M lawsuit with
Tiffany Hawkins, 20, for $250K after she accused him of sexual abuse
when he was 24 and she was 15.
'I
say f*** that. I say I have a lot of fans around the world that love R.
Kelly and I’m glad that they don't [all] feel [that] way,' the Put The
Guns Down singer said.
'But you can't satisfy everybody and you're not gonna always have everybody to hold you down you know.'
Kelly accused Modarressy-Tehrani of 'interrogating' him and disrespecting him.
'I
didn’t come here for negative. I came here for positive...If you don't
think you're disrespecting me then that's the level of your
intelligence, not mine,' the Poetic Sex singer snapped.
'I'm
gonna get up and walk out and I'm gonna go to McDonald's. Hopefully,
the McRib is out and I'm going to go home to Chicago, play me some
basketball, go to the studio, and work on my next album.'
Ended 40-date joint tour: Back in
2004, Kelly famously walked out of a St. Louis concert during his Best
of Both Worlds Tour with rapper Jay Z after an argument with the
lighting director
