Rumors began to swirl on
Tuesday that Leonardo DiCaprio onscreen suffering reportedly reached new heights in
his upcoming film The Revenant. In
a scene early in the film, DiCaprio's character Hugh Glass is viciously
attacked by a bear who according to a report then flips him over on his
back and proceeds to molest him. 'He is raped - twice!' claims Drudge Report.
The site also adds that the 'bear flips Leo over and thrusts and thrusts during the explicit mauling.'
Two
other individuals who have seen the film tell DailyMail.com that while
the bear attacks DiCaprio's character there is indeed some thrusting.
But while it is an intense scene, they both say there does not appear to any incident of rape.
Fox,
the studio behind the film, backed that up, saying in a statement; 'As
anyone who has seen the movie can attest, the bear in the film is a
female who attacks Hugh Glass because she feels he might be threatening
her cubs.
'There is clearly no rape scene with a bear.'
