Chris Hemsworth reveals nasty daily diet that caused him to shed weight for movie role as he covers Men's Health magazine

From hunk to shrunk: Chris Hemsworth has revealed in an interview with Men's Health magazine the shocking daily diet he consumed to lose weight for new movie In The Heart Of The SeaShocking: The 32-year-old Australian actor recently shared this incredible weight loss photo, his frame gaunt and his ribs protruding through his skin
He said:

'We couldn't go away for a month and get skinny, we had to do it while we were shooting,' he said.
'At one point, a day's rations were a boiled egg, a couple of crackers and a celery stick,' the Aussie hunk added.
'I reckon about 90% of our conversations were about our favourite foods and what we would eat when we finished the film.'

he admitted to the men's magazine that the daunting prospect of losing so much weight was helped by the fact he had his co-stars alongside him.

'I was skinnier than ever before, but at least we were losing weight together – the bond we formed was incredible,' he explained.
'It reminded me of being on a football team growing up, where you'd do anything for each other. You don't often get that on set.'

'To get back to looking like Thor is simple: I get in the gym and work out,' he said of reprising his role at the Marvel superhero, for the third film in the series.
'I enjoy it. It keeps me fit and healthy. I've got to eat more calories – certain types and all clean – and it can get boring eating chicken breast and rice and so on. But at least you're fed properly.'
