Bankrupt rapper 50 Cent begs court's permission to pay off basic bills for his lavish mansion...which costs him 72K a month to maintain.

50 Cent who usually shells out $72,000 in monthly expenses at his Connecticut estate. has asked the court to let him keep paying the bills for the upkeep of his lavish mansion. More...

The rapper's 50,000 square-foot home sits on 17-acres, and costs him $72,000 a month - including $17,400 a month for the mortgage and $5,000 for gardening. 50 Cent has been trying to sell the lavish residence since 2007.
In court papers, the value of the lavish Farmington, Connecticut home was listed as $8.25 million, with the rapper still owing $1million to the bank for the property.
The mansion, which used to be owned by boxer Mike Tyson, has 21 bedrooms, nine kitchens, racquetball and tennis courts, a home movie theater, a nightclub with DJ area and private casino, a stripper pole, and an eight-car garage.

The In Da Club rapper filed for bankruptcy in July, after he was ordered to pay $5million to Lastonia Leviston for civil rights violations and emotional distress after he posted her sex tape online, reportedly as revenge against his rival Rick Ross, whom she has a child with.

On July 24, the jury ordered 50 Cent to pay an additional $2million in punitive damages after his bankruptcy bid.
The rapper was also embroiled in a $18million lawsuit over his headphones businesses, and says his costly legal woes have forced him to file for Chapter 11. 

The musician has sold more than 22million albums, and Forbes once estimated the entertainer and businessman's net worth at $150million.

However, in bankruptcy paperwork 50 Cent reported $32million in debts - including $2,000 he owed to his grandfather.
