An Australian and an American held captive by the Taliban have been forced to beg for their lives in a sick propaganda video.
Timothy
Weekes, an English teacher from Sydney, and his American colleague
Kevin King, appear bearded and gaunt as they are seen for the first time
since their abduction in August last year.
The
pair, who were last seen in the Afghan capital of Kabul, are shown
begging President-elect Donald Trump to exchange them for prisoners held
at Bagram air field and at Pul-e-Charkhi prison.

If Trump refuses to negotiate with the terror group, then Weekes and King will be killed, the men tell viewers.
The Daily Mail has elected not to publish the video in full.
In the tape, Weekes claims the date is January 1, four months after American special forces tried and failed to rescue the pair.
Weekes and King were working at the American University of Afghanistan, in Kabul, when they disappeared on August 7 last year.
The men 'were forcibly removed from their vehicle while traveling in Kabul' before vanishing, according to the FBI.
In
the video, Weekes says he and King were leaving the university that day
when they were ambushed and captured by 'four heavily armed Taliban
members.'
As he is forced to talk about his time in captivity and how he has been 'abandoned' and 'forsaken', he breaks down in tears.
