Calvin Harris breaks his silence on Taylor Swift

Calvin Harris has finally confirmed his break up with supper star Taylor Swift, following new reports that the couple's 15-month relationship ended because he was 'jealous' of the superstar singer's success, the Scottish DJ took to Twitter to clear the air.

'The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect,' he stated.

While initial reports cited an amicable split sans 'drama,' it was later claimed that Calvin just couldn't handle the singer's superstar status.

Indeed a source close to Taylor told People magazine that Calvin ended things with the Bad Blood hitmaker because he was 'intimated' by her accomplishments.

Though Harris is a star by anyone's standards - in 2015 he topped the highest-paid DJs in the world list with $66million - the insider says he was threatened by her endless accolades.

'[Harris] said on multiple occasions that he was intimidated by Taylor, which is why he would not attend any events where she was being honored, or any award shows unless he was nominated,' the source added.

She reportedly made $100million in 2015.
