Many Nigerians are not happy with the recent and ever dropping supply of power in the country. Nigerians had high expectations for this present administration led by President Muhammdu Buhari but it appears those hopes are being dashed on a daily basis. Many twitter users took to their page to critics the minister of Power Babatunde Fashola. See tweets after the cut
A lot of promises were made by the All Progressives Congress during the campaign period, especially about the power supply in the nation. When Buhari appointed the former governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Raji Fashola as the minister of works, housing and power, Nigerians were happy.
They referred to him as the ‘Super Minister’, expecting him to bring a lasting solution to the poor power supply in the country. The same people who were praising Fashola are now in doubt over his ability to improve the power situation in the country.
The electricity generation profile in the country has continued to drop. The nation achieved its peak generation of 5,074.70MW on February 2, but in March it dropped by 1,647.88 megawatts to 4,447.88MW.
Nigerians are beginning to complain about the poor power supply and Fashola is at the receiving end of their criticism.
