A student nurse died during her first hospital shift just minutes
after she sent a Snapchat telling pals she had "only two hours to go". It
is believed that Lucy Blackburn, from Hapton, Lancashire, suffered an
epileptic seizure just two hours before finishing her first shift at
Warrington Hospital earlier this week.
The 20-year-old student, who studied at the Warrington campus of the
University of Chester, was discovered collapsed on Tuesday in the
hospital toilets at 6.45pm.
Just minutes earlier she had sent friends a Snapchat that read 'only two hours left' over a picture of her feet.
Colleagues raised the alarm and attempted to revive her but she was pronounced dead at 8.20pm.
