A pizza delivery driver was reduced to tears by the kindness of a church congregation - who left him a £463 tip. The 22 year-old Jeff Louis works for Gionino's pizza shop in Mentor, Ohio, USA, had been asked to come in early to make a lunch delivery to the Life Point Church. But
when he got there, he was invited into the religious building by
members of the congregation, to hand deliver one pizza directly to the
pastor. Ken Wright, who was leading the service, had already decided to tip Jess as it was coming up to Christmas.
He told WKYC News: "Yeah, I just thought, 'let's tip him $100. It's the holiday season'."
But after Jeff walked into the church, the congregation decided to have a whip-round, which totalled a whopping $700 (£463).
Jeff sobs as he explains:
"I've been having such a hard time lately, just struggling to stay clean and everything.
"And I'm just trying to get my life back. "It just really, truly amazes me that people that
don't even know me just wanted to help me out that much," he continued.
"Blessed."
