Katy Perry just conquered longtime rival Taylor Swift (and everyone else) as the top-earning musician of 2015 with an eye-popping $135M. Forbes compiled
their list by examining the pre-tax income from June 2014-June 2015
from concerts, record sales, publishing, endorsements, and other
business ventures. The
31-year-old pop diva sky-rocketed from the 23rd position to No. 1,
mostly due to her Prismatic World Tour which grossed more than $2M per
city.
Swift
- who turns 26 on Sunday - landed the No. 4 position with $80M this
year, but she'll likely top 2016 since her 1989 Tour earns $4M per city.
The
Shake It Off songstress and her boyfriend of nine months, DJ Calvin
Harris, were the highest-earning musical couple thanks to his $66M
gross.
