A toddler burned to death after being placed in an oven by her three
older siblings while her mother went out for pizza, it has been claimed. The body of J'zyra Thompson was found with severe burns by the cooker of her family home in Houston last Monday.
According
to court documents, one of her three-year-olds told Child Protective
Services (CPS) they put J'Zyra in the oven, while the other one made it
"hot".
They added little J'zyra was 'kicking the oven door' as the temperature was turned up,
Her
distraught mother Racquel Thompson tried to perform CPR on her child
when she returned, but by then the child was too badly burnt to survive.

Records show Thompson told officials she often left the kids home alone to drive her boyfriend to work at a pizza place. But
officials say the pair had actually gone to Dominos Pizza for takeaway
and had stopped at a pharmacy to pick up a prescription on the way back. Case
workers say the couple left the four children home alone without
telling a grandmother who lived in the same apartment complex.
