Beauties from Venezuela, Ecuador and Slovakia won the top three places. They were presented with certificates, Oscar-like gongs and jewel-encrusted tiaras

Stealing the limelight was a blonde bombshell who represented Poland. She strutted along the runway in an aquamarine-coloured bikini, bright red lipstick and diamond earrings

A highlight of the glittering event saw hopefuls showcase awe-inspiring costumes from their home countries
A Swiss hopeful looked the part after donning a tartan mini skirt, zip-up waistcoat and tying her blonde hair into plaits

The audience cheered a woman clad in a tangerine bralet, tasselled skirt and feather headpiece as she danced along the stage
